Arbat Hotel

Name: Pippero
Accommodation period: October, 2007
The hotel is a Soviet era one. The location is excellent; you are 150 mt. away from the Arbat st.; moreover, various metro stations are at a walking distance, as well as many restaurants, hence it's a perfect located hotel. The hotel itself, although located in the very downtown, was very quiet and silent. I was in a standard room; the bathroom was absolutely OK (recently renovated) with brand new shower, tap etc.; the room showed some age (the parquet was a bit worn, the furniture I guess is still the same of the USSR, same with the curtain), but the bed was comfortable (despite of the typical Russian square pillows!). TV set OK with many Western channels, the mini bar (actually a regular refrigerator) was empty; good for some who will stay there for some time.
Very good buffet breakfast, full with many Western favorites, but also packed with Russian stuff, worthy of a try.
It is a good value for money (think we are in a city where they ask huge money for dumps) hotel, great location. I would get back.
